Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows- Guy Ritchie
I am looking forward to the second installment of the Sherlock Holmes remake that came out in 2009. The original journey through late 19th century London streets was full of quick moving action scenes. I would like to see more of the same in the second movie. Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law make for a good duo that have the potential to make this into a movie title that could go the distance with a 3rd or 4th title in the near future.
The release date is set for December 16th, 2011 and will include the beautiful Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace along with Downey Jr. and Law. McAdams played an unusual role in the first movie in being a sly and promiscuous counter part to Holmes. But with every good movie hero comes a smoking blonde actress, and i don't know where this movie would be without her. Holmes seems so invincible, but McAdams acts as his kryptonite obsession that will never go away.
I am more excited to see this movie than i am for every summer movie coming out this year, including Transformers 3. Really? Yes most definitely. This trio of actors (Downey Jr, Law, McAdams) is one of the best out there right now. And to me there is something about movies based in the 1800's that I really like. This mystery/action film looks very promising as one of this years biggest blockbuster films. At this point i can only wait patiently to see Downey Jr. break a mans jaw. In summary: ears ringing, jaw fractured, three ribs cracked, four broken, diaphragm haemmorraging. Physical recovery: six weeks. Full psychological recovery: six months. Capacity to spit at back of head: neutralized.
