10. George, Curious George (The Movie) (2006)
George kicks off the countdown coming in 10th to a very competitive crew of Hollywood monkeys. Hes a fun loving pal that can sometimes stir up some trouble. Although he is very innocent he can be somewhat of a pain in the ass for the man in the yellow hat. But look at that cutie, he has to make the list.
9. Flying Monkeys, Wizard of Oz (1939)
Coming in at number 9 are the collective group of flying savages. When you think of a classic monkey you think of a classic movie, and that is the Wizard of Oz. They have a history of stealing and torturing all who stands in the way of the wicked witch. These blue faced soaring spazoids will do anything for that miserable bitch, but good thing she is melted. These guys are currently unemployed flying around the world while frequently combing their diesel side burns. Hey, that's a pretty nice jacket. Style +2 points.8. King Kong (2005)
At number 8 is the grand daddy of them all, the King. He's a big boy with a mean uppercut but don't let his reputation fool you. He's a sucker for the blondes. A true romantic over sized gorilla who may need a little anger management counseling. If he wants to enter any long term relationship he will need to calm down or else he will get a little visit from the NYPD for a domestic disturbance call.
7. Rafiki, The Lion King (1994)
The seventh monkey on the list, Rafiki. A very spiritual man that acts as a father figure for Simba and the rest of Pride Rock. Even though he spends a lot of time praying and meditating, he is a spark plug. Rafiki is always swinging from branch to branch and throwing shit around. It must be because of all the drugs he is taking to make him see Mufasa in the water. Definalty one of the best party monkeys on the list. He is a combination of a mandrill and a baboon and a Disney legend.
6. Abu, Aladdin (1992)
Abu! is number 6. One of the hardest working monkeys on the list whether it is stealing or being a perfect distraction for his lover boy master Aladdin. He is a true blue collar monkey who wears his matching cap and vest with pride. He can be a little shy around the ladies, but when he opens up you will know he's a little charmer with his creativity and loyalty.
5. Spike, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)
Number 5 on the list is the brave Spike. Ace's side kick in the Pet Detective series, and one of the most athletic monkeys on the list. He always knows how to get out of a sticky situation. With amazing balance he sometimes never fails to leave Ace's shoulders even when he is making those stupid faces and jerking motions. When Ace is too busy being an idiot Spike will do his part to get the job done. Guaranteed. This little fella is 100% Capuchin.
4. Joe, Mighty Joe Young (1998)
The Kings little brother, this over sized Gorilla has placed in 4th in a close battle of the top monkeys. He is very independent and has made a living destroying poachers. But after a so called "rescue" he has found a soul mate with a blondie, just like his brother Kong. He is the type of Gorilla that you want on your side because he is a beast that can lift a Ferris wheel, Ya. His main hobby is lifting things up and putting them down.
3. Jack, Pirates of the Caribbean (2003)
Jack is number 3 and well deserved. a relativity young Capuchin monkey that seems to always be pestering Jack Sparrow. A very intelligent little guy that will steal anything you have just for the amusement. He also has a great sense of humor, but that usually comes out after a few rounds of rum. This raging alcoholic would be a perfect party partner with Rafiki. Oh Jack, you dirty little pirate monkey.
2. Dodger, Monkey Trouble (1994)
Coming in at number 2 is the fan favorite Dodger. The biggest klepto of them all, he has made a living of stealing anything shiny. He also gets along well with females and prefers to spend most of his time in a backpack. A fashionable guy that loves a new pair of shorts and a stylish hat. Dodger is a master escape artist who will be cuddled up with you in bed one minute then in a high speed bike chase away from the cops the next.
1. Dunston, Dunston Checks In (1996)
And the number 1 monkey is the chimpanzee Dunston! Defiantly the most joyous monkey on the list, he is best friend material. Dunston is always looking for a laugh jumping down laundry chutes, taking a bubble bath, sneaking under dinner tables, and that big smile always makes me laugh. Without him where would Hollywood monkeys be? He is the face of the movie monkey coalition, and if they were to take over the world, he would be the next president. Well deserved Dunston, you should've got an oscar for that perfect performance. Thumbs up bud.
