Premiering this Friday is another fairy tale switcheroo of two peoples lives who learn through living someone else's life that their own isn't that bad at all. Jason Batman and Ryan Reynolds star in the new comedy The Change Up.
The Change Up takes two best friends, one who is married with children, and the other a ladies man, and changes their appearance so they have to drop their old problems and be introduced into foreign territory with many new issues. From watching the trailer it seems to include a few subtle laughs here and there from Ryan Reynolds overly sarcastic tone. Or maybe the sad realities of the responsibilities in being a parent verses the sad reality of being single and having no responsibilities at all. No matter what, we all lose, and we all laugh at other peoples problems. But the message here seems to be that everyone should be happy with what they have, and stop bitching and moaning about it. This pair of actors along with Leslie Mann will give me a reason to spend some time watching this movie. For no money out of my pocket will i go see this flick though. It is more of a "Hey, you got this on Blue-Ray? i haven't seen it yet", "Ya go ahead take it, it's really not that good". I usually have a keen eye for this type of comedy though. There will be a few useful lines to pull out during a specific situation. People will laugh with you, and you will live in glory for the remaining 20 seconds of laughter. A perfect movie reference is hard to come by these days. Reynolds always has a few golden nuggets laying around.
