J. Edgar First Look

J. Edgar Hoover was one of the most important figures in American history in the 20th century. He was the first director of the Bureau of Investigation in 1924, and took credit in being one of the founders of the F.B.I. His work was of huge enormity in Americas fight against internal crime. One of his major findings was the ability to utilize fingerprints in order to catch criminals and register an authentic form of identity. He is also the founder of forensic laboratories, so you can thank him for all those hit forensic TV shows out there.

But this story is more interesting underneath. Hoover struggled with many personal problems. Secrets that had the ability to tarnish his reputation and lose his credibility in being one of the nations most sovereign leaders. Playing the role of Hoover will be Leonardo DiCaprio, which seems to be the perfect fit since this isn't his first rodeo playing a historical figure with skeletons in his closet (The Aviator, Catch Me If You Can). Also starring J.Edgar are Naomi Watts as Helen Gandy, and Josh Lucas as Charles Lindbergh.
